# Old Version of Radeon Drivers
Release Date Dec 2019.
https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/release-notes/rn-amdgpu-unified-linux
The link is broken, but there is a treasure trove
of old drivers, for ubuntu and debian, at
https://repo.radeon.com
with GPG key to install them at
```
wget -q -O - https://repo.radeon.com/rocm/rocm.gpg.key | sudo apt-key add -
```
## AMDGPU 21.40 OOMs
Installing the next most recent version of the AMDGPU driver for
Ubuntu 20.04, the 21.40 driver, runs out of memory.
I added a second 2GB stick of RAM, but it still ran out of memory,
when compiling the DKMS.
```
sudo dpkg -i amdgpu-install-21.40.40500-1_all.deb
```
```
sudo amdgpu-install --usecase=opencl --opencl=legacy
```
I'll try with an older AMDGPU.
## AMDGPU 21.50.2
```
sudo dpkg -i amdgpu-install_21.50.2.50002-1_all.deb
```
```
sudo amdgpu-install --usecase=opencl --opencl=rocr --no-dkms
```
Then reboot.
